Sama & Kaeshav

A Royal Affair, India

“Jhoom raha hai apna muqaddar, gulshan ki boo aayi hui hai.
Sajda Sajda manga jisko, wahi baraat aai hui hai”

When a man you have looked up to all your life, calls you one fine day and says he would like you to document his daughters wedding. It is a feeling that can't be put into words. I agree I am a fan boy! Who doesn't know the song "In Aankhon ki masti ke" or "Dil cheez kya hai aap mera jaan lijiye" from the movie Umrao Jaan that was directed by the man himself..and the annual sufi festival "Jahan e khusrau" that is conceptualised and organised by him.. Meera and Muzaffar Ali are not just another famous couple. They are a 'way of life'...In a world stuck with "trends" and "misplaced modernity', they have managed to keep the old world charm so wonderfully alive which not only reflects in their gorgeous homes, the way they dress or the way they speak, the food they eat but also in their design label "House of Kotwara"... Sama and Kaeshav are the most adorable, endearing and well mannered people I have met...Heres a snippet from their gorgeous wedding that was all about understated elegance, old world charm, and oh boy!! The Food!!

Meera & Muzaffar Ali on Karan Sidhu & his work

Working with someone like Karan is not working. It’s just being yourself, relaxing, doing things that you would normally and naturally do. The most important thing is that he makes you feel like YOU are the most important person in that shot, in that evening, so it brings the best out of you. With every shot, he sees the hidden, inner you. I think it’s an emotional journey of, in a way, discovering yourself.
